In this campaign, which connects the arrival of summer with the concept of the balcony, we aimed to create a nostalgic atmosphere that would evoke memories through both production design and visual language with a retro feel.
The film opens with Hande Yener, the voice behind this summer’s song, as she welcomes the season from her balcony. She steps outside, plays her track on the radio, and enjoys her Cornetto Max.
At the heart of the film is a stylized balcony set designed with a retro-pop aesthetic. To strengthen this atmosphere, we used rehoused lenses and included zoom in and out movements within the shots to enhance the retro sensibility in the cinematography. The use of VHS footage visually supported this feeling and added depth to the overall look. Prism filters became a key element in achieving the visual nostalgia we were after. We worked in a 4:3 (1.33) aspect ratio to maintain this visual consistency throughout. The color palette featured soft tones and visible grain, helping to create a cohesive visual world.
The film was built on three interconnected narrative layers. The retro balcony served as the main setting, supported by two additional setups. The first was a night performance sequence where Hande Yener sings directly into the microphone. The second featured abstract top-shot scenes focusing on the pleasure of enjoying Cornetto Max, inspired by American Beauty.
"The highlight of this shoot for me was the final moments on set. To make the American Beauty-inspired shot happen, the entire crew came together with the same energy and excitement to prepare the torn Cornetto wrappers. That shared effort made the moment unforgettable."
