Algida wanted to create a campaign to promote some ice cream varieties of their Atelier Gelarto sub-brand. We cooperated with STANDBY CREATIVE to visualize these different categories of ice creams.
With inspiration from various ice creams around the world, we came up with the idea of recreating the place they originate from. We had to compose landscapes from Madagascar, Ecuador, and Turkey.
“We had 3 different dioramas looking tiny from the outside but that could tell different stories once you moved inside with the camera. Looking continuously from different angles while shooting, we ended up with so much footage that we could almost make a short film.”

We wanted to shoot an out-of-the-ordinary ice cream film. Studying the ice cream containers and packaging opened a new window: We decided to combine our sceneries with miniature art. Thus, we designed ice cream cities under the clouds, by the sea, and at the mountainside, each reflecting its own color, flavor, and taste. We still can’t forget the taste of the fairy chimneys made of red berries sorbet.
“Since it was the first diorama I have worked on; this project will always have a special place. The diorama figurines I collected from the set are still exposed in various corners of my house.”
