The Ministry of Culture and Tourism wanted to make a film in which İstanbul, and Ankara would be promoted as part of the Cultural Road Festivals. In this project, we decided to look at these two cities that we know like the back of our hand from different angles that we have not looked at before.
“The most important feature that distinguishes this project from others was that we kept our imaginations constantly alive to determine our angles properly during the shooting. If you do not plan the movements of the 2D characters to be positioned, your efforts can result in total disappointment.”

Some cities inspire people to dream. Therefore, while creating this project, our biggest inspirations were İstanbul and Ankara. With Baran Baran joining our team, we came up with an idea for a movie where we could change people’s perspectives on cities.
When Baran Baran’s characters met the familiar landscapes of İstanbul and Ankara, city images that had never been introduced before emerged. After that, every structure we shot started to look different to us. When we completed the film, we saw once again how animation can totally change the impact of a movie.
"Orchestrating with small touches the unlimited silhouettes that the cities offer us was the most fun part of this project.”
