For our Yves Rocher Sebo Active Clear film with Ebrar Karabakan, we built a story that takes place inside the brand’s dermo-botanical laboratory, shaped around a sense of curiosity and discovery. We approached the film through the setup of a live stream, allowing Ebrar to speak directly to the audience. This helped us create a tone that feels natural, intimate, and fluid.
We structured the film’s dramatic arc around building up to the line “My skin liked this” as its climax. As we follow Ebrar’s step-by-step process of research and discovery inside the laboratory, the film naturally leads to a final moment where she shares her connection with the product and her recommendation with the audience.
Curiosity and discovery also guided the way we designed the film’s transitions and shot structure. We used the Yves Rocher Sebo file on the laboratory table as a narrative element, making Ebrar’s research process visible within the film. For the demo transitions, we moved through a microscope POV, integrating these moments into the story as a natural, diegetic part of the film. This allowed the audience to follow Ebrar in a parallel flow as she livestreams, carries out her research, and experiences the product. In the final scene, Ebrar addresses the audience directly, with the microphone and the dermo-botanical laboratory atmosphere behind her, delivering the film’s closing message.
For the art direction, we imagined a dedicated section within Yves Rocher’s dermo-botanical laboratories where the Sebo Active Clear research takes place. We shaped this world around both the brand’s identity and Ebrar’s energy, creating an atmosphere that fuels curiosity and visually draws the audience in. We enriched the space with details such as product design sketches and laboratory notes, while bringing the tones of the Sebo range to the forefront of the color palette. At the same time, we adopted a design language that feels younger and more dynamic.

For the cinematography, we aimed to create a visual tone that feels intimate and realistic. We strengthened the natural texture of the image through grain and contrast, while using a Glimmerglass filter in front of the camera to soften the skin and highlight areas, despite working with a sharper lens. In the camera movement, we drew from a pan-and-zoom aesthetic to give the film both energy and a documentary-like feeling. With the slow pan in the opening, and the pans, tilts, and zooms used throughout the film, we aimed to build a cinematographic language that feels vintage, intimate, and young.

Following this overall approach, we aimed to create a warm, fluid, and engaging narrative by building a consistent harmony between the script, performance, cinematography, art direction, and editing language. The result is a film that brings Ebrar Karabakan’s Sebo Active Clear experience to the audience in a direct and sincere way.
